"I have to give you my review about the oud case. It is nothing like the soft oud cases I have seen before. And I have bought and seen a few!

First, the design is ingenious where the case size is just right to my Sukkar oud, it is not too big and not tight either, just perfect! Next, the material, is tough and the padding is the thickest I have ever seen on an oud case, the zippers and front pocket are both fine as well! I love thick padding that protects the peg box as I carry the oud around. I won't worry about a string getting out of tune anymore when the peg box hits a door frame. Further, the thick and tough plastic sheet within the padding that protects the tender face of the oud is the best idea and so are the straps. I love the grey color as well.

All this gives me a great indication of the love and dedication you gave this design. You put your heart on the line for this case design just as Khalil Gibran said in "The Prophet", Work Chapter.. I can't stop complimenting you on this. You are a blessing for every oud enthusiast in the world. Your oud case is the best in the world I would say! And so must your oud craftsmanship be.

These cases are made from tough cordura with handles and thick foam all around. The inside of the case is lines with a smooth black nylon. The neck and pegbox end are constructed in a semi-rigid box-type form that offers a buffer for this fragile area. The front panel is also reinforced with a rigid insert to help deflect blows to the soundboard, and to prevent punctures.

The case includes BACKPACK STRAPS, a HUGE feature that makes this case a joy to carry. Strap it on and the soundboard is against your back, totally protected. The pegbox will be up and behind your head, in a similar protective location.

The case is great for all types of travel. It will insulate against cold due to the thick padding-- I've traveled by air using the prototype, placing the oud in both an overhead bin, and/or having the attendant place it in their coat closet up front. Checking the case should not be done (it's not a good idea to do this even with a hard case).

I've designed these around a typical size Arabic oud. They will fit all but perhaps unusually large ouds.
